MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point won eight of the 11 events and held off Marshfield 95-75 in the first Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming dual of the season on Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Henry Hilbelink won the 100-yard freestyle in 54.56 seconds, Simon Dagit was first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.90, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Dagit, Kevin Buth, Carson Klumb and Hilbelink won in 1:37.09 for Marshfield’s three event victories.
Marshfield will compete at the Chippewa Falls Invitational on Saturday.
