Auburndale girls basketball stays undefeated with overtime win over Adams-Friendship

AUBURNDALE – Auburndale outscored Adams-Friendship by nine points in overtime and earned a hard-fought 71-62 nonconference win in girls basketball action Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale led 32-24 at halftime before the Green Devils (1-7) fought back to forced overtime. In the extra four-minute period, Auburndale held Adams-Friendship to one backet and made five of six free throws to pull away.

Myah Katzenberger scored 16 points, including four free throws in overtime, Sidney Wolff added 14 points and Rose Hasenohrl had 13 points for the Eagles, who stay undefeated at 4-0 this season.

Auburndale plays a Marawood Conference South Division game at Edgar on Thursday.
