Brookfield Academy sends Columbus Catholic boys basketball to first loss of season

MEQUON – Brookfield Academy raced out to an 18-point lead by halftime and handed the Columbus Catholic boys basketball team its first loss of the season with an 86-53 victory at the Rick Majerus Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout on Wednesday at Concordia University.

Anthony Przybilla had 24 points to lead Brookfield Academy (7-0), ranked third in the latest Wissports.net Division 3 state coaches poll.

Statistics for the Dons (8-1), the second-ranked team in the Division 5 state poll, were incomplete.

The Dons wrap up play at the WBY Shootout at 10:45 a.m. Thursday against Winnebago Lutheran.
