Monona Grove shuts out Marshfield boys hockey at Culver’s Cup

MADISON – The Marshfield boys hockey team was shut out by Monona Grove 6-0 in the fifth-place game of the Culver’s Cup on Friday afternoon at the Hartmeyer Ice Arena.

Reed Gieseking made 33 saves in goal for the Tigers, who were outshot 39-19 in the loss.

Tyler Genschaw had two goals and two assists for Monona Grove (7-5).

Marshfield (6-9) returns to Wisconsin Valley Conference action Thursday at Merrill against the Wausau East/Merrill United Bluejacks. Game time is 7 p.m.
