AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale boys basketball team extended its winning streak to nine with a 63-36 rout of Chequamegon in a Marawood Conference crossover game Friday at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale held Chequamegon (2-8, 0-5 Marawood North) to just 13 points in the first half to take a 15-point lead. The Eagles finished off the win with a 12-point advantage in the second half.
Caden Weinfurter had 18 points and eight rebounds, which included five 3-pointers, to lead Auburndale (11-1, 7-0 Marawood South).
Kaden Anderson added 15 points and Thomas Aue scored 10 for the Eagles.
The win sets up a battle of undefeated Marawood South teams on Tuesday in Auburndale as the Eagles host Marathon (11-0, 6-0 Marawood South). Game time is 7:15 p.m. Click here to view the Marawood South boys basketball standings
