Marshfield boys hockey edges Baldwin-Woodville

MARSHFIELD – Tyler Reissmann scored twice as the Marshfield boys hockey team held on to defeat Baldwin-Woodville 3-2 in a nonconference game Monday at the Marshfield Area Ice Arena.

Reissmann and Blake Meissner scored in the first period, and Reissmann added another late in the second to give Marshfield a 3-1 lead.

After a power play goal by Baldwin-Woodville’s Dawson Veenedaal in the final minute of the second period cut the Tigers’ lead to one, neither team scored in the third and Marshfield was able to hold on for the victory.

Marshfield’s Reed Gieseking made 32 saves, 16 in the second period alone, for the Tigers.

Marshfield is scheduled to play at home against Tuesday against Mosinee.
