UW-Stevens Point Marshfield men’s basketball rolls past UW-Platteville Baraboo

MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield men’s basketball team picked up another Wisconsin Collegiate Conference win with a 74-53 victory over UW-Platteville at Baraboo on Monday night at the Marauder Gym.

Sam Everson and Owen Hansen each had 22 points, Jake Skroch added 11, and Prince Nde chipped in nine for the Marauders (5-6, 5-2 WCC).

Marshfield also earned a 72-61 win over UW-Stevens Point Wausau on Jan. 3 at home.

Hanson led the Marauders with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Jake Skroch (Stratford) had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Caleb Rucker (Spencer) was able to hit some big outside shots and finished the game with 12 points.

The Marauders play at Bryant and Stratton JV on Wednesday in Wauwatosa. Marshfield’s next home game is next Monday, Jan. 15, against Gogebic Community College at 6:15 p.m.
