Marshfield Middle School gymnastics opens season with meet at Tomah

TOMAH – The Marshfield Middle School gymnastics team opened its season with a dual meet at Tomah on Monday.

This was a dual meet (Marshfield had 6 athletes competing – Tomah had 11 athletes competing)

Marshfield High School alumnus and former gymnast Hanna Merkel was a judge for bar routines.

Leeann Luedtke won the vault with a score of 9.8, tied for first in the balance beam with an 8.9, and placed second in the uneven bars (8.9) and the floor exercise (7.8) for Marshfield.

Marshfield’s Kaylee Fredrick picked two wins as well, taking first in the bars (9.0) and floor (8.0).

Marshfield’s next meet will be Monday, Jan. 22 at Mosinee at 5:30 p.m.
