First-place Marathon starts strong, downs Stratford boys basketball

STRATFORD – Marathon remained unbeaten in the Marawood Conference South Division with a 63-44 win over Stratford on Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

Drew Bruesewitz scored 19 points to lead Stratford, which falls to 11-4 overall and 6-3 in the Marawood South.

Marathon statistics were not reported. The Raiders are now 14-1 overall and 9-0 in conference play.

Stratford hosts Wisconsin Rapids Assumption on Thursday and Marathon will be at home against Edgar on Friday in Marawood South games.
