MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys basketball team cruised out to a 19-point lead in the first half and went on to a 75-34 rout of Chippewa Falls in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Marshfield High School.

The Tigers extended their winning streak to nine with the victory, improving to 14-1 this season.

Chris Pohl had 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Brooks Hinson added 17 points in the win for Marshfield, which shot 55 percent (27-for-49) from the field and 15 of 19 at the free throw line.

Easton Bobb scored more than half of Chippewa Falls’ points, finishing with 19. The Cardinals drop to 1-12.

Marshfield plays a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at D.C. Everest on Friday.
