Spencer girls basketball drops road game at Owen-Withee

OWEN – Owen-Withee outscored Spencer by 12 in the second half to pull away for a 61-43 win in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Friday night at Owen-Withee High School.

Owen-Withee led 20-14 after a low-scoring first half before putting up 41 points in the second half to finish off the win and improve to 13-4 overall and 7-3 in the Cloverbelt East.

Autumn Davis made 11 of 12 free throws and scored a game-high 20 points for Spencer (41-2, 1-9 Cloverbelt East).

Kendall Weiler had 13 points and Geneva Captillo 11 in the win for the Blackhawks.

Spencer will play a nonconference game at Wausau Newman Catholic on Monday.
