Marshfield baseball tops D.C. Everest for fourth straight win

MARSHFIELD – Daulton Varsho had three hits to lead the Marshfield baseball team to a 13-11 win over D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference slugfest Tuesday at Jack Hackman Field.

The Tigers won their fourth game in a row and get back to the .500 mark on the season at 7-7 and in the Valley at 4-4. Everest falls to 5-3 and 4-3 in the conference.

Jared Keif and Bo Howard each added two hits for the Tigers. Howard added a triple, scored three times and picked up the victory with three innings of relief.

Marshfield hosts first-place Stevens Point on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Jack Hackman Field.
