MARSHFIELD – Four players scored in double figures as the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County women’s basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to top UW-Waukesha 59-48 in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference game Saturday afternoon at the Marauder Gym.

The Marauders improve to 9-7 overall and 8-4 in the WCC with the victory.

UW-Marshfield led 35-18 at halftime and finishing off the double-digit win despite being outscored by six in the second half.

Paige Newman had 14 points, Taylor Lynn scored 13, Mikayla Jankowski added 12 and Allie Paitel chipped in 10 for the Marauders.

The Marauders play at UW-Marathon County in Wausau on Wednesday.
