Auburndale softball blanks Spencer

SPENCER – Auburndale scored multiple runs in three separate innings and Morgan Griesbach tossed a one-hitter as the Eagles defeated Spencer 15-0 in a nonconference softball game Friday at Spencer High School.

The Eagles put the game away due to the 10-run rule after scoring six times in both the fourth and fifth innings.

Danika Blomberg smacked a grand slam home run in the fourth inning and finished 2-for-3 with three runs scores, and Regynn Lau was 3-for-3 with two RBI in the win for Auburndale (3-1).

Griesbach finished with 12 strikeouts and one walk to earn the complete-game win.

Spencer falls to 1-4. Spencer statistics were not reported.

Auburndale plays at Neillsville on Monday, while Spencer returns to action at home Tuesday at home against Pittsville.
