HUDSON – The Marshfield boys golf team opened its 2024 season with a 15th-place finish at the Hudson Invitational on Monday at Troy Burne Golf Club.
Cretin-Derhman (Minn.) won the team title with an impressive 291 as Sam Udovich and Joe Honsa tied for meet medalist honors with 71s. Marshfield took 15th out of 20 teams with a score of 357.
Keegan Fredrick tied for 16th place with a 79 to lead the way for Marshfield.
Magnus Machtan had a 91, Afton Hamill shot a 92, Graydon Anderson had a 95, Maxx Oertel had a 96 and Tyler Heiman had a 97 to round out Marshfield’s scoring.
Marshfield jumps right back into action Tuesday at the Wisconsin Rapids Quad on Ridges Golf Course. D.C. Everest, Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids will also compete.
