OWEN – Spencer scored 14 runs in the top of the second inning and cruised to a 15-0 three-inning win over Owen-Withee in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division softball game Friday at Owen-Withee High School.
Berklie Ireland struck out five and did not allow a walk or a hit in three innings on the mound for Spencer (4-11, 2-6 Cloverbelt East). She also had a double and scored twice in the win.
Keely Schuh had two hits and two RBI, and Hannah Schreiner and Hallie Meyer also each drove in two runs for the Rockets.
Spencer will play a Cloverbelt Conference East Division doubleheader at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Monday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds beginning at 4:30 p.m.
