AUBURNDALE – Marathon jumped on Auburndale early, scoring 10 runs in the first inning en route to a 16-0 shutout of the Apaches in a Marawood Conference South Division baseball game Monday at Auburndale High School.
Marathon improves to 13-3 overall and 11-2 in the conference, while Auburndale finishes its regular season at 2-14, 2-12 in the Marawood South.
Tony Altmann had the only hit for the Apaches.
Auburndale plays a WIAA Division 3 quarterfinal Friday at Edgar.
