RICE LAKE – Marshfield sophomore Keiron Howlett and senior Jeremy Robinson each qualified for the WIAA State Track and Field Championships with top-three finishes at the WIAA Division 1 sectional at Rice Lake High School on Thursday.

The state meet will be held at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on June 1-2.

Howlett won both the 110-meter hurdles (15.08 seconds) and the 300 hurdles (40.33), and took third in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 11.5 inches.

Robinson won the triple jump (45-3.25), was second in the 100 (11.09) and third in the 200 (22.78). He also qualified for the sectional in the long jump, but finished fifth with a jump of 21-2.5.
