Marshfield volleyball stays perfect in Wisconsin Valley Conference with win over Wausau East

WAUSAU – Marshfield dropped the opening game of its match with Wausau East, then rallied past the Lumberjacks for a 3-1 Wisconsin Valley Conference volleyball victory Thursday night at East High School.

The Tigers won 22-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19, to stay perfect in the Valley at 6-0 and drop East’s record to 3-3.

Tiffany Stargardt and Mikala Sebastian each had 19 kills and Courtney Bauer added 14 for Marshfield (23-3 overall).

Chelsea Akin had team-highs in digs (18) and aces (four), Stargardt and Darian Molter added 16 digs each, Tori Nanstad added 26 assists and Bauer had 23 for the Tigers.

Marshfield is off until next Thursday when it hosts Stevens Point.
