COLBY – The Stratford girls cross country team had three runners finish in the top 18 and finished sixth in the team standings at the Colby Cross Country Invitational on Thursday.
Nadia King took 12th (17:20), Johnelle Minor was 13th (17:25) and Dani Bender finished 18th (17:32) to lead the Tigers to sixth place out of 11.
Colby/Abbotsford won the meet with Phillips second and Tomahawk third. Spencer was 11th, with Samantha Fuehrer leading the way finishing 51st in 19:12.05.
Spencer was 12th and Stratford finished 15th in the boys race, which was won by Chequamegon. Marathon was second and Medford third.
Rudy Nieman led Spencer, taking 24th in 18:51, while Phil Sersch topped Stratford by finishing 48th in 19:38.
