Marshfield Jr. Legion baseball team splits pair at RSW

WESTON – The Marshfield Junior Legion baseball team split a doubleheader with Rothschild-Schofield-Weston, winning 6-1 and losing 5-3, on Friday.

Jack Donahue earned the victory with a complete-game effort in Game 1. He struck out eight and allowed just one run, which was unearned.

Cameron Swanson had three hits, including a double, and Sam Klein had two hits for the Blue Demons (4-2).

In the second game, Jeremy Binder threw a complete game for Marshfield, but suffered the loss. He struck out nine and just two of the five runs were earned.

Donahue and Trevor Schwecke each had RBI singles for Marshfield.

The Blue Demons are back in action Wednesday with a doubleheader at Plover.
