MARSHFIELD – Hannah Kruse had 16 kills and Paige Thornton recorded 27 digs to lead the Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team to a hard-fought 3-2 win over Augusta in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
Columbus won the match 25-15, 16-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-13.
Katie Weister added eight kills and 22 digs, Abby Baierl had 21 digs and Tara Brock had 10 assists for the Dons (2-3 Cloverbelt East).
Augusta drops to 2-4 in the conference.
Columbus Catholic plays at Gilman on Thursday.
