KRONENWETTER – Rhys Wahleithner allowed just two hits and one walk in a complete-game effort, and added three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs, leading the Auburndale baseball team to an 11-1 win over Northland Lutheran in Marawood Conference South Division action Friday.
Northland Lutheran struck first with a run in the second, but Auburndale responded with a run in the third to tie it and four in the fourth to pull ahead. The Apaches added a six-run sixth inning and Wahleithner slammed the door in the bottom of the inning to end the game due to the 10-run rule.
Jake Schar had a double, two walks, two RBIs and three runs scored for the Apaches (2-3, 1-1 Marawood South). Cole Swanson was 2-for-4 with two runs scored as well for Auburndale.
The Apaches host Edgar in a Marawood South game on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
