MARSHFIELD – All seven Marshfield boys tennis players won in straight sets and surrendered a total of just 20 games in sweeping Rhinelander 7-0 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Tuesday at the Boson Courts at Marshfield High School.

Jacob Twandowski won 6-0, 6-0 over Kent Ring at No. 3 singles for the Tigers’ lone shutout of the match. Nick Ackerman at No. 1 singles and the No. 3 doubles team of John Weiss and Zach Ott both lost just one game in winning their matches.

Marshfield is at Stevens Point on Thursday.
