CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield girls swim team had nine top-six finishes and ended up in fourth place in the team standings at the Chippewa Falls Invitational on Saturday.
Elizabeth Holbrook and Ryenne Zee had second-place finishes for the Tigers, who totaled 242 points. Chippewa Falls edged Wisconsin Rapids 417-398 for the team title.
Holbrook was second in the 200-yard IM in 2:26.38 and Zee was second in the 100 butterfly in 1:06.77 for Marshfield’s best finishes.
The Tigers’ 200 medley relay team of Sophie Koehn, Megan Donahue, Zee and Holbrook was third in 2:01.93, and the same foursome was fourth in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:51.28.
Koehn also took fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:07.31 and Holbrook was fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.22. Valerie Kushnir finished sixth in the 100 butterfly in 1:09.76 and Donahue was sixth in the 100 freestyle in 1:01.34 as well for Marshfield.
Marshfield hosts Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
