MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won two events and had 11 top-six finishers to take second place at its home Marshfield Girls Track & Field Indoor Invitational on Thursday at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse.
Gracie Holland won the 60-yard dash in 7.76 seconds, was second in the 220 in 29.00 seconds, and took third in the pole vault clearing a height of 9 feet, to lead the way for the Tigers.
Lindsey Steffen had the other win for Marshfield, taking first in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 8 inches.
Carly Brickley took second in the 60 (8.00), Tayllor Thompson was second in the high jump (4-8) and sixth in the 440 (1:13.22), Kaydee Johnson finished third in the triple jump (31-2) and sixth in the 60 hurdles (10.56), and Samantha Hoch was fifth in the long jump (13-10) for the Tigers’ other top finishes.
D.C. Everest won the team title with 101 points, with Marshfield second with 96.5 points.
