MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won nine of the 11 races and cruised to a 109-61 win over Wausau East in its final boys swimming dual meet of the season on Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Marshfield finishes the Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet season with a winning record at 5-3. Wausau East ends its season at 2-6.
Three Marshfield swimmers won two events each for the Tigers.
Ethan Dagit won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.98 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 52.12 seconds; Myles Jensen took first in the 200 freestyle in 1:51.71 and the 500 freestyle in 5:08.72; and Kyle Berres won the 200 individual medley in 2:22.28 and the 100 backstroke in 1:01.07 for Marshfield.
Jensen and Dagit teamed with Kyle Berres and Sander Marty to win the 200 medley relay in 1:48.51 and with Kyle Berres and Jeffrey Berres to take first in the 400 freestyle relay in 3:40.00.
Marty grabbed the other Marshfield win, taking first in the 100 butterfly in 1:00.66.
Marshfield will have a week off before competing at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Boys Swim Meet on Thursday, Feb. 6, at Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids.
