Stratford boys basketball falls at home to Marathon

STRATFORD – Marathon overturned a four-point halftime deficit with a strong second half and defeated Stratford 54-50 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.

Stratford led 25-21 at halftime before Marathon pulled away in the second half with an eight-point advantage.

Cody Miller had 13 points, and Caden Bruesewitz and Max Vanderhoof each added 11 for Stratford, which falls to 9-8 overall and 5-7 in conference play.

Marathon statistics were not reported. The Raiders are now 17-4 overall and 8-4 in the Marawood South.

Both teams return to action Friday. Stratford will be at Chequamegon and Marathon at Abbotsford.
