Stratford wrestling opens season with win over Glenwood City

STRATFORD – Stratford had eight pins and won two more matches by forfeit in a 60-15 victory over Glenwood City to open its 2021-22 wrestling season Thursday night at Stratford High School.

Jesse Bauer (106 pounds), Cayden Leonhardt (120), Gavin Draxler (145), Dillon Kirsch (152), Elijah Lucio (160), Gavin Kirsch (170), Jackson Ormond (182) and Alex Muller (285) each won by pin for the Tigers.

Stratford will host a tournament on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Barron, Crandon, Phillips, Southern Door and Wausau East will be the competition in the multi-dual tournament, which will be broadcast on zaleskisports.com.
