Bangor sends Auburndale girls basketball to first loss

BANGOR – Nora Tucker had 22 points to lead Bangor past Auburndale 60-52 in a battle of undefeated girls basketball teams on Tuesday at Bangor High School.

Bangor led 25-19 at halftime and was able to hold off Auburndale at the end. The Eagles fall to 7-1, while Bangor improves to 7-0.

Annamarie Aue had 14 points and Gracie Krings hit three 3-pointers to finish with 11 points for Auburndale.

Auburndale hosts its annual holiday tournament on Dec. 27-28. Neillsville will play Mosinee in a battle of undefeated teams at 1 p.m. Monday, with Auburndale taking on Wauwatosa West in the other semifinal at 3 p.m.
