Marshfield boys tennis drops three matches at Wausau West Invite

WAUSAU – The Marshfield boys tennis team lost its first two matches at the Wausau West Invitational, falling 6-1 to Menomonie and Oshkosh West, and 4-3 to Bay Port.

Kai Rens won all three of his matches at No. 3 singles for Marshfield. Rens defeated Andrew Busch of Menomonie, 6-4, 6-3, Cohen McConnell of Oshkosh West 6-1, 6-3, and Aryaman Bhatia of Bay Port 7-6 (1), 6-4.

Dillon Scheuer picked up a win at No. 2 singles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Payton Smith and Kennan Chojnacki also won against Bay Port.

The tournament will continue Saturday.
