Marshfield girls golf finishes third at two-day tournament

The Marshfield girls golf team finished third among the six teams at the two-day Rider Cup event at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids and Riveredge Golf Course in Marshfield on Sunday and Monday.

Stevens Point won the team title with a combined score of 468, eight shots ahead of Wausau East/West. Marshfield with third with a 510, followed by Wisconsin Rapids with a 530, Onalaska with a 576 and D.C. Everest with a 582.

Brielle Lenz led Marshfield with a 95 to place fourth overall in the individual portion of the tournament.

Raina Manlick added a 104, McKenzie Holm had a 105, Shylah Brogan had a 113, Lili Anaya had a 118, and Sophie Lee shot a 124 as well for the Tigers.

Marshfield will compete at the first leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Wednesday at Trapp River Golf Course in Wausau.
