PULASKI – The Marshfield boys soccer team suffered a 4-2 nonconference loss to Pulaski on Thursday at Pulaski High School, dropping its season record to 1-1.

Pulaski scored twice in the first 22 minutes to take a 2-0 lead, which held through halftime.

Keegan Fredrick scored six minutes into the second half for Marshfield, before Pulaski scored a minute later.

After Pulaski pushed its lead back to two, Fredrick connected again, off an assist from Maahir Patel, to cut the Tigers’ deficit back to one at 3-2. Pulaski (2-0) added another goal in the 79th minute to finish off the scoring.

“All in all, we played well even though the score doesn’t reflect it,” Marshfield coach Jeff Molter said. “We had some great attacks and left 2-3 goals out there for sure with missed opportunities.”

Marshfield returns to action Monday with a nonconference game at New Richmond.
