Columbus Catholic soccer shuts out Gresham/Bowler

MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic scored four times in the opening 20 minutes and cruised to an 8-0 victory over Gresham/Bowler in a Central Wisconsin Conference boys soccer game Thursday at Griese Park.

Nathan Nemitz scored in the opening minute and added two more goals before halftime, and Mason Edwards and Alex Edwards each had goals for the Dons, who are now 12-2 overall and 7-1 in the CWC.

Lucas Kreklau, the Dons’ starting goalie, took to the field in the second half and scored his first career goal in the 56th minute to finish off the scoring.

Columbus Catholic will have a week off before playing at Stevens Point Pacelli on Thursday, Oct. 6.
