EDGAR – Edgar, the top seed in its half of the Division 3 Sectional 2 bracket, outlasted Marawood Conference rival Stratford 3-1 to win a WIAA girls volleyball regional semifinal Thursday night at Edgar High School.
Edgar defeated the eighth seed Tigers 25-16, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14, to advance to a D-3 regional final Saturday night at home against No. 4 seed Marathon.
Kalyn Schueller had nine kills and 15 digs, Ava Weix had 19 digs, Emerson Roy had 17 assists and 10 digs, and Sonia Peterson had 10 assists for Stratford, which sees its season come to an end.
