Dissanayake nets hat trick as Wisconsin Valley Union girls hockey downs Brookfield at Culvers Cup

MADISON – Sonia Dissanayake had a hat trick to help lead the Wisconsin Valley Union girls hockey to a 5-1 win over the Brookfield Glacier in a consolation bracket game at the Culvers Cup on Thursday afternoon at Hartmeyer Ice Arena.

Dissanayake scored three times and Jenna Jones scored the other two for the Union, who are now 2-7 this season.

Grace Lawrence had 17 saves in goal for the Union.

Wisconsin Valley will play the Lakeshore Lightning in the fifth-place game of the tournament at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Hartmeyer Ice Arena.
