Spencer baseball comes back late to top Cadott

SPENCER – Spencer scored twice in the fifth inning and seven more times in the sixth to come from behind and defeat Cadott 9-3 in a nonconference baseball game Monday at Spencer High School.

Cadott (1-4) led 3-0 after scoring a run in the top of the fifth before the Rockets started to fight back.

Andrew Sieracki and Luke Roehrborn each had RBI singles in the fifth to cut Cadott’s lead to 3-2.

The Rockets exploded in the sixth, scoring seven times with two outs.

Reed Knecht had a two-run single to give Spencer the lead and the Rockets tacked on five more as Kaiden Miller and Zack Roehrborn had RBI singles and three runs scored on two walks and a hit by pitch with the bases loaded.

Spencer hosts Gilman for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday at 5 p.m.
