Spencer baseball drops road game at Marathon

MARATHON – Marathon scored nine times in the bottom of the fourth inning to bust open a tight game and went on to defeat Spencer 12-1 in a nonconference baseball game Friday at Marathon High School.

Spencer has held to four hits, two each from Andrew Sieracki and Luke Roehrborn. Roehrborn knocked in Kaiden Miller with the Rockets’ only run in the fourth inning.

Daniel LaQua, Tyler Underwood and Grant Warren each had three hits for Marathon (7-2), which had 16 in all.

Spencer, which had its four-game winning streak snapped, falls to 6-3 this season.

The Rockets host Owen-Withee on Tuesday.
