EAU CLAIRE – Chase Robinson tossed a complete-game one-hitter as the Marshfield baseball team pulled out a 2-1 win over Eau Claire North on Friday at Carson Park.

Robinson struck out three and worked around four walks to earn the victory for the Tigers, who are now 6-3 this season.

A two-out error in the top of the first inning allowed Ben Dietsche, who had singled, to score the game’s first run for the Tigers.

After Eau Claire North tied the game in the third, Marshfield plated what turned out to be the game-winning run in the top of the fourth when Cole Halvorsen doubled, Braxton Kurth singled and Halvorsen scored on a wild pitch.

Kurth finished with two of Marshfield’s seven hits.

Marshfield plays at Wisconsin Rapids on Tuesday.
