Stratford baseball dominates Phillips

STRATFORD – Braden Bloom had a double and three RBI to help lead the Stratford baseball team to an 11-1 nonconference win over Phillips on Friday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.

Jackson Ormond, Braeden Schueller and Vance Kielman combined on a five-inning three-hitter for the Tigers, striking out 10.

Schueller added a pair of RBI, and Kielman and Jack Tubbs each scored three times for Stratford, which improves to 5-2.

Stratford hosts Auburndale on Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. Auburndale is in first place at 5-1 in the Marawood Conference South Division, while Stratford is 3-1. The two teams will also play at Auburndale on Thursday.
