Marshfield Senior Legion baseball loses at home to Plover

MARSHFIELD – Braylen Nystrom struck out nine over five innings, and added a home run and three RBI at the plate, to lead Plover to a 12-2 win over Marshfield in a Wisconsin Valley Legion Conference baseball game Monday night at Jack Hackman Field.

Plover scored six times in the top of the first inning and added a pair of three-run innings to pull away early, and eventually win the game in five innings due to the 10-run rule.

Marshfield was held to five hits, three by Ben Dietsche.

Marshfield plays at Wausau on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Athletic Park.
