WAUSAU – The Marshfield girls tennis team finished 2-2 at the Wausau West Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Marshfield defeated Ashwaubenon 4-3 and Rhinelander 4-2, and lost to Wisconsin Rapids 4-3 and Wausau West 6-1.
Marshfield’s Ashley Grancorvitz won all four of her matches at No. 4 singles, and the Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Sophia Morrell and Ava Paape finished 3-1.
Marshfield opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference season at home against Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday.
