SPENCER – Spencer won the first set but couldn’t hold on as Pittsville took the next three to earn a 3-1 victory in a nonconference volleyball match Tuesday night at Spencer High School.
Pittsville won 21-25, 25-21, 25-11, 25-14.
Hannah Reckner had six kills and four service aces, Hannah Schreiner added five kills, Shelby Frisch had nine assists and eight digs, and Alexa Stange had 20 digs for Spencer.
Spencer will have a couple of weeks off before hosting Owen-Withee in its Cloverbelt Conference East Division opener on Sept. 12.
