WEYAUWEGA – The Stratford football team won its sixth-straight game with a dominating 56-0 shutout of Weyauwega-Fremont in a Central Wisconsin Conference Large Division game Friday at Weyauwega-Fremont High School.
The Tigers (7-1, 6-0 CWC Large) scored multiple touchdowns in each of the first three quarters and rolled to the victory, clinching the conference title in the process.
Stratford outgained W-F 373-117, forced four turnovers and scored two defensive touchdowns.
Quarterback Gavin Leonhardt had a 46-yard rushing touchdown, Koehler Kilty, Payton Glenn and Jack Tubbs added rushing TDs, and Tubbs and Brady Berg had passing touchdowns for the Tigers. Tubbs hit Leonhardt for a 24-yard score before halftime and Berg connected with Brandon Drexler for a 7-yard TD in the fourth quarter.
Kaleb Krummel returned a fumble 38 yards for a touchdown and Glenn added an interception and return of 52 yards for another.
Stratford will wrap up its regular-season and conference schedule at home against Spencer/Columbus next Friday, Oct. 13.
