Columbus Catholic volleyball rolls past Eau Claire Immanuel to claim Division 4 regional title

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team are regional champions again after rolling past Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran 3-0 in a WIAA Division 4 regional final Saturday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons won 25-10, 25-20, 25-12, and will host Athens in a Division 4 sectional semifinal on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Royal and Wonewoc-Center will play in the other sectional semifinal, with the winners meeting in a sectional final on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Cashton High School for the right to play at the 2023 WIAA State Girls Volleyball Tournament in Green Bay next week.

Aaliyah Krenn had 11 kills, four blocks and five digs, and Aubrey Waldhauser and Emma Dolgner each had seven kills and two blocks to lead the Dons.

Courtney Sommer added 18 assists, six digs and five kills, Mattea Schlafke had five kills and six digs, Alayna Egle had eight assists and Della Trader had eight digs as well for Columbus Catholic.
