STRATFORD – The Stratford wrestling team opened its 2023-24 season with a perfect 5-0 record at its home Schoenherr Multi-Duals on Saturday at Stratford High School.
Stratford defeated Wausau East 61-9, Crandon 42-36, De Pere 45-22, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 37-36 and Southern Door 51-25 to win the team title at its annual home tournament.
Mathias Kaiser (138 pounds), Kaleb Krummel (165), Carter Lueck (190) and Noah Lucio (220) won individual weight class titles for Stratford.
Stratford will open its Marawood Conference season with a quadrangular meet at Athens on Thursday.
