Brookfield scores four times in final 10 minutes to down Wisconsin Valley Union girls hockey

BROOKFIELD – Brookfield scored four unanswered goals in the final 10 minutes of action and downed the Wisconsin Valley Union 7-4 in an Eastern Shores Conference girls hockey game Friday night at The Ponds of Brookfield.

The Union led 3-1 after Jenna Jones, Kendall Baneck and Lily Cichy scored in a five-minute stretch that bridged the end of the first and start of the second periods.

Brookfield (4-3, 1-2 Eastern Shores) charged back to tie the game by they end of the second before Wisconsin Valley went ahead again on Jones’ second goal 4:30 into the final period.

From there, however, it was all Glacier, as they scored four goals to finish off a conference win.

Wisconsin Valley Union (3-3, 0-2 Eastern Shores) will have a week off before hosting Hudson at Ice Hawks Arena in Stevens Point on Saturday, Dec. 16. Game time is 2 p.m.
