Moore pours in 28 points as Columbus Catholic boys basketball wins at Prairie du Chien

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN – Charlie Moore continued his hot streak for the Columbus Catholic boys basketball team as he hit five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points in the Dons’ 69-58 nonconference win at Prairie du Chien on Saturday.

Moore also was 9-for-12 at the free throw line to pace the Dons, who remain undefeated at 7-0 this season. Moore topped the 20-point mark for his third consecutive game.

Cy Becker added 14 points and Blake Jakobi had 11 for Columbus Catholic, which was 19-for-24 overall at the free throw line in the victory.

Hunter Stratka scored 17 points for Prairie du Chien (0-5).

Columbus Catholic hosts Loyal for a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
