TOMAH – The Marshfield gymnastics team fought to a second-place finish at the Tomah Peppermint Twist Invite on Saturday at Tomah High School.
Chippewa Falls/McDonell won the team title with a score of 142.675, with Marshfield a distant second with 130.975 points.
Solenne Lonsdale had Marshfield’s best individual finish, taking second in the uneven bars with a score of 9.05.
Abigail Pietsch and Serenah Tippett tied for eighth in the floor exercise with scores of 8.9 as well for the Tigers.
Marshfield will earn some rest over the next few weeks and return to action Jan. 6 at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational.
