MILWAUKEE – Owen Hanson had 32 points, 16 rebounds and four assists to lead the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Marshfield men’s basketball team to a 79-67 victory over Bryant & Stratton JV on Wednesday night at Mount Mary University.

Brennen Peterson hit three free throws and a 3-pointer to help the Marauders jump out to a 12-4 lead.

Marshfield used its inside game to take a 36-30 lead into halftime. The Bobcats cut Marshfield’s lead to 44-43 before the Marauders picked up the pace behind some nice assists from Prince Nde and three 3-pointers by Peterson iced the win.

Peterson finished with 15 points, Sam Everson added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Jake Skroch had eight points and 17 rebounds, and Nde had eight points, eight rebounds and eight assists for the Maurders (6-6, 6-2 Wisconsin Collegiate Conference).

Marshfield is scheduled to play Saturday at UW-Oshkosh at Fond du Lac.
